A taste of Sweden on Manhattan's East Side. Ulrika's, which opened in April 1999, offers candle lit dining, friendly service and quite affordable prices. Piping hot Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes and lingonberry sauce cost just $15 and was quite good. Desert included a miniture stack of Swedish "pannkaks" with cloud berry sauce and fresh whipped cream. Next time we'll try something a bit more exotic like rack of venison or grilled pheasant. Major credit cards accepted. Reservations required.
