This West Village wine bar is popular for its assortment of cheeses and cured meats. Simply look for the outline of a pig on the window. The salumi section includes everything from speck and sopressata to duck breast proscuitto. Then there are the cheeses; gorgonzola dolce, ricotta fresca and teleggio to name a few. Buy one for $7, or 3 for $18. Crostini includes Italian tuna and hot pepper oil, along with sauteed mushrooms and thyme ($3 ea). Pressed paninis are also featured, like the Cuban ($11) made with organic pork, proscuitto and asiago. Zampa also serves several small plates with vegetarian options like roast beets and fennel in a shallot vinaigrette ($10) and Anjou pear with baby arugula, walnuts and gorgonzola ($10). Larger plates range form roast loin of pork with white beans and broccoli rabe ($18) to lasagna bolognese with a beef, pork and porcini raqu ($19).
