LA native Camilla Marcus is making her mark with west~bourne, an all-day cafe in SoHo bringing the distinct flavors of California to New York City. The menu features dishes like malibu waffles with buckwheat, vanilla crème fraiche + organic blackberry INNA jam, over the rainbowl with brown basmati rice, lentil falafel, sweet potatoes, broccoli, kale + pickled beets, and the echo taco with onion-pepper-potato hash and American cheese on a crispy corn tortilla. Local beers and wines from California vineyards are also available, along with pies from Four & Twenty Blackbirds. Designed by LA-based Studio Mai, the restaurant itself seeks to capture the California spirit with reclaimed wood, custom-designed furnishings and exposed brick. A portion of the every purchase will also benefit The Door, an organization that helps support local job training. See more
