Chef Marco Moreira's jewel box of a restaurant 15 East @ Tocqueville (One East 15th Street) has re-opened after being closed since June 2021. This new restaurant has been lovingly redesigned by Moreira and now resembles a Parisian townhouse.

A petit cocktail bar activates the entrance for guests' arrival to which a transitional space graced by curtains leads to The Omakase Room, “a restaurant within the restaurant” with seven seats at the counter and eight at tables, offering a prix fixe 20-course sashimi and sushi omakase experience.

Through a curtained doorway one enters the grand 66-seat jewel box dining room done in deep eggplant and chocolate shades with rose accents, mirroring surfaces, Venetian plastered ceilings and a fireplace. An outstanding private sky box mezzanine overlooking the main dining room seats 30 and is available for custom-made sit-down dinners and cocktail parties.

The menu offers seasonal fare in three ($125pp), five ($175pp) and seven-course ($225pp) prix-fixe menus with multiple choices, and a wine pairing option is available with the latter two menus. and a wine pairing option with the latter two. Highlights of the menu include Sea Urchin and Angel Hair Carbonara; Maine Lobster Duo “Cassoulet” with “shellfish boudin noir” sausage and coco de paimpol beans; House Cured & Lightly Smoked Duck Breast three ways with bosc pear, Tokyo turnips and natural duck reduction; and Aged Carnaroli Risotto Acquerello Risotto with porcini mushrooms, rosemary and Vacche Rosse Parmigiano-Reggiano.
