On Tuesday, November 19th, Blu on the Hudson invites guests to an exclusive evening of fine dining and exceptional wines, paired in partnership with Il Poggione, one of Tuscany’s most acclaimed wineries. Set in Blu’s elegant private dining room with sweeping views of the Hudson River and Manhattan’s skyline, the night begins with a champagne reception at 6:30 PM, launching a five-course culinary journey expertly curated by Executive Chef JC Ortega and paired with wines selected by Sommelier Adam Greer.

The evening’s menu is designed to showcase both the artistry of Blu’s culinary team and the power of Il Poggione’s wines, each course harmonizing perfectly with its wine pairing. Delicate Kumamoto oysters topped with bluefin toro tartare and Kaluga caviar open the meal, accompanied by Lanson Père & Fils NV champagne. A second course of creamy oxtail risotto with cacio e pepe and hen of the woods mushrooms follows, paired with Il Poggione’s Brancato Rosato 2022, bringing a hint of freshness to the rich, savory dish.

Diners can also anticipate a sumptuous diver scallop with short ribs, celeriac, and lardo, elevated by Il Poggione’s Toscano Rosso IGT 2022. A show-stopping Gorgonzola Filet Mignon served with white polenta and a red wine reduction arrives next, paired with the winery’s celebrated Brunello di Montalcino 2018. To close the meal, a salted caramel panna cotta with gala apple compote will be matched with Il Poggione’s Vin Santo Sant’Antimo Riserva 2019—a sweet ending to a memorable evening.

This exclusive pairing is priced at $150 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Reservations are available on OpenTable.
