Spring has arrived in New York, and cherry blossoms are starting to bloom. But for a full-on sakura celebration, head downtown to Sake No Hana, the sleek Lower East Side spot now fully transformed into a floral homage to hanami, Japan’s centuries-old cherry blossom tradition.

Through April 19, the restaurant—sibling to London’s Hakkasan and helmed by Chef Jason Hall—is offering a limited-time menu of seasonal dishes and rare sake, all set against a backdrop of vibrant cherry blossom décor.

Standouts include the Tempura Soft Shell Crab ($36) with wafu mustard and Japanese potato salad, and rotating specials featuring Union Square Greenmarket produce. For dessert, the Hanami Platter delivers a refined take on wagashi sweets: cherry blossom profiteroles, matcha sponge rolls, raspberry mochi, and more.

To drink, there’s Masumi Arabashiri “First Run”, a fresh, unpasteurized namazake heralding the start of sake season—available by the half-glass, glass, or bottle.

But hurry. Just like the cherry blossoms themselves, this experience won’t last long. Reservations at sakenohananyc.com
