In the heart of the Fiancial District, diners can now be whisked away on a Tuscan getaway. Firenze Ristorante Toscano & Bar can be found inside Eataly Downtown. Guests will discover classic Florentine cuisine, an expertly curated wine list, and inventive cocktails while taking in views of the New York City skyline.
The menu features classic Tuscan dishes such as Cecina, a traditional chickpea flatbread dating back to the 13th century, and Ribollita, a Tuscan comfort food staple made with stewed beans and roots. Bistecca alla Fiorentina, an expertly prepared porterhouse steak, is being made according to strict guidelines.
No Tuscan meal would be complete without Tuscan wine celebrating the region’s legendary vineyards. There are more than 500 different wines to choose from. Prices range from about $50 a bottle to several hundred dollars. A Chianti Classico Flight is also being offered.
Cocktails also have a Florentine twist, with names honoring Italian landmarks, like the Ponte Vecchio. There are also Italian-inspired martinis like the Vespro, Sporcato and Cosmopolita. Guests are invited to finish their meal with a Tuscan tradition, vin santo & cantucci. Served from a charming dessert cart, the legendary Tuscan sweet wine is accompanied by housemade almond cookies that are perfect for dipping.
Eataly Downtown is located at 101 Liberty Street, Third floor, New York, NY (646) 677 8580
