If you're the kind of person who geeks out over creamy espresso layers and crispy toast with a cult following, mark your calendars: Pull-Tab Coffee, China’s viral café darling, is opening its first U.S. location in New York City on April 12, 2025.

Founded in Hangzhou in 2021, Pull-Tab Coffee exploded across China with its signature Aerofoam drinks—freeze-dried espresso clouds that melt into milk (dairy or plant-based) or tea, creating a visual and flavor bomb that’s both satisfying and slightly hypnotic. Think rich, complex espresso meets velvety mousse. It's coffee, but with theater. The NYC menu features Aerofoam drinks in flavors like Banana, Osmanthus Oolong, Earl Grey, Mocha, and Matcha.
Cititour was invited to a preview and this is what we found:
But the real mic drop? Butter Toast. Pull-Tab’s crispy brown sugar whole wheat slices come stuffed with dreamy peanut butter or chocolate cream, or topped with thick slathers of kaya and cold slabs of butter. The move: dip that toast into your Aerofoam drink. It's indulgent, playful, and unexpectedly elegant.
The new NYC café at 1029A Avenue of the Americas shares space with a hot pot restaurant (yes, really). It's a buzzy setup that mirrors Pull-Tab’s identity: unexpected, stylish, and unapologetically fun.

Don’t skip the cold brew and other bottled drinks either. Each sleek bottle is sealed with a literal pull-tab ca. It’s as much about the ritual as it is about the caffeine jolt. Pull. Sip. Energize. Repeat.

Guests who attend the Grand Opening on Saturday 4/19/25 and purchase Aerofoam or Pull-Tab drinks will also receive a free necklace with any purchase (while supplies last).
New York, are you ready to foam?
