ADRIENNE WARREN TO RETURN TO BROADWAY’S TINA

Tony Award nominee Adrienne Warren will return to the title role of “Tina: The Tina Turner Musical” for a limited engagement at Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street) on Friday, October 8.
Written by Tony Award nominee and Pulitzer Prize winner Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, the musical, which is up for 11 Tony Awards this year, is directed by Tony Award nominee Phyllida Lloyd with choreography by Tony Award nominee Anthony van Laast, Additional casting for the run has not yet been announced.
Warren originated the role of music icon Tina Turner in London, where she was nominated for an Olivier Award. She previously received a Tony nomination for “Shuffle Along.” In addition, she just wrapped filming of the highly anticipated limited series for ABC entitled “Women of the Movement,” in which she stars as Mamie Till-Mobley, and will appear in concert on Bryant Park on June 30.
