Set to open on October 9th in Manhattan’s Midtown East, Ánimo! introduces the rich and diverse morning traditions of Mexico to New York City. Founder Roberto Levinson, a native of Monterrey, Mexico, envisioned Ánimo! as more than just a breakfast spot—it’s a vibrant celebration of Mexican flavors, culture, and hospitality. Ánimo! promises to deliver a sensory journey, transporting diners to the heart of Mexico through its bold, authentic breakfast menu and warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Ánimo!’s menu features beloved Mexican breakfast staples like chilaquiles, molletes, barbacoa and egg tacos, and conchas. Each dish highlights the bold, hearty flavors of Mexico, designed to energize and uplift diners. The restaurant’s thoughtful design, by Jordana Maisie Design, mirrors Mexican craftsmanship with a dynamic exterior and a warm, inviting interior adorned with rich sapele wood tabletops, handmade tiles, and vibrant murals.
Levinson, whose career in Mexico centered around customer care and service, brings that same dedication to Ánimo!, ensuring a breakfast experience that embodies both culinary excellence and heartfelt hospitality. Located at 1004 2nd Avenue, Ánimo! is open Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM and weekends from 8 AM to 4 PM, offering New Yorkers an authentic taste of Mexico to start their day.
