The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree will soon be history. The Norway spruce is set to come down on January 14th. Afterwards, the tree will be milled into lumber and used to provide housing by Habitat for Humanity.

Magentaverse is coming to New York. ARTECHOUSE NYC helped create the immersive experience as part of a collaboration with Pantone, the global color authority and provider of professional color language standards for the design community. Open to the public beginning Friday, January 20 through May 2023, the exhibit features state-of-the-art technologies with a metaverse-like experience (without the need of a headset!). 439 West 15th St, NYC

Chef Ignacio Mattos' Alto Paradiso is hosting a four-course wine dinner on January 18th with ARPEPE, a premier estate from Valtellina, Lombardy. Nestled within the Alps, ARPEPE’s unique terrain creates compelling wines that are considered the best in Valtellina. The wines will be paired with northern-Italian classics such as Osso Buco with polenta, and Malfatti with wild mushrooms and black truffle. $195 per ticket.

The new winter menu at at Divya’s Kitchen is adhering to the principles of Ayurvedic, an ancient system of healing. All of the food is cooked in high quality stainless steel to minimize toxins and no hydrogenated oils. Vegan cheeses, creams and baked goods are made from scratch, organic flour is milled in-house, and nothing is reheated. Katie Holmes, Shawn Mendes, Patti Smith and the Olsen twins are said to be among its fans.

Starting next Wednesday, January 11th, Michelin-recognized Sweetbriar will be hosting a Ribwich Pop-Up with proceeds going to City Harvest to help feed food insecure New Yorkers. The pop-up will be in partnership with Maker’s Mark and will run from Wednesday, January 11th – Friday, January 13th with pre-ordering and pickups available each day from 12 pm – 2 pm and 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm via Tock.

The Brooklyn Museum is hosting a Salsa Party on January 12th. The monthly dance-filled evenings are hosted by the Balmir Dance Society. The event will be held from 6–9:30 pm inside the Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion on the first floor. The program is free, but reservations are encouraged.
