Kid Brother Pizza at Urbanspace Union Square (East 14th Street) is launching a brand new happy hour. Available from 11am to 10 pm weekdays, visitors can choose from a large margherita, pepperoni, or goat cheese and spinach pie and two Narragansett beers for only $21. And you might be impressed with the chef. Michael Davis spent years working at Lespinasse, Daniel and Bouley, and ran the kitchen at Del Posto when it received 4 stars from the New York Times.

Meanwhile, Chef Robert Guimond's Public Display of Affection (aka PDA Pizza) will be holding pizza-making classes at The Hugh. Learn the secrets behind the art of pizza making + stretching PDA's slow-fermented dough. The classes cost $69 and will be held at the PDA Slice Shop inside The Hugh Food Hall in Midtown (601 Lexington Ave).
Westville is heading to the Upper West Side, opening its eighth restaurant in the city. The new Westville, known for its American fare featuring 21 vegetables daily, will be located at 2290 Broadway near West 83rd Street in close proximity to the American Museum of Natural History. The bi-level space can accommodate up to 115 guests.

A Brooklyn vintage shop will be merging three vintage sellers for one day only. aRoqa is getting into the spirit of date night with small plates designed for sharing and Indian-inspired food along with craft cocktails. Maybe you can even feed your better half. Shareable plates include Kurkuri Bhel, crispy rice puffs, avocado, tomatoes, and tamarind chutney with lotus stem chips; Habanero Chicken Tikka: Tandoori with habanero aioli; and Dry Pepper Prawns served in curry leaves with onion relish.

With National Panini Day approaching on Friday, August 11th, Nomad Girl is offering several of its panini favorites like Tentazione filled with shrimp, smoked mozzarella, arugula, 24-month aged prosciutto, and salsa rosa; Il Forzuto, organic chicken breast, mozzarella, tomato and pesto sauce; and Milanese, cured filet mignon, arugula and hearts of palm. Nomad Girl is also serving up piadinas, a rustic Italian sandwich mde with flatbread flown in directly from Italy.

The Red Pavilion in Bushwick is hosting a Tarot and Flash Tattoo Party on Sunday August 13 from 3pm to 7pm. Jia Sung will be providing one-card tarot reading from her newly published deck, Trickster’s Journey. Flash tattoos will also be offered based off of exclusive artwork from Trickster.
230 Fifth is hosting its Rooftop Rosé Festival on Saturday August 12th. The event features unlimited rose and champagne for 2 hours from 2pm-4pm along with d’oeuvres, live DJ and photo booth. And of course there are stunning rooftop views of the Flatiron District. Tickets start at $28.77 for entry and two drinks; $71.59 for the full 2 hours.

Queens Botanical Garden's Orchid Show returns August 11th to 13th. This year’s show is entitled Taiwan: A World of Orchids and features a stunning display of more than 900 orchids and Taiwanese art as well as ancient storytelling and traditional tea ceremony. For ticket info, click here
