TOP TOMATO
Summer produce is being celebrated at Le Coq Rico with dishes like Heirloom Tomato Tartare with basil pesto, spiced crumble and balsamic; and Arugula and Fig Salad with popped corn, parmesan and sherry dressing.

At the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Michelin-starred chef John Fraser is partnering with The Dining Room to offer a menu that also shines the spotlight on vegetables of season. Look for tomato-centric dishes like Gazpacho with Bulgarian feta, sourdough croutons, cucumber dice, and micro basil and Pappardelle with corn pudding, tomato water, parmesan, charred baby corn and heirloom tomatoes.
EAT YOUR VEGGIES
Michelin-starred chef Samuel Clonts of The Bar at Uchū is presenting a special limited time vegetarian dinner series using produce from the restaurant's rooftop garden. The Japanese-inspired dishes include Grilled Summer Corn and Australian Black Truffle Temaki, Heart of Palm Katsu Curry, and Matsutake Sando (eggs included). They are being paired rare whiskeys and artisanal cocktails intended to unleash the umami flavors of Chef Clonts’ menu.

Spiritea is launching soft-serve ice cream. Look for flavors like Jasmine or Black Tea from pastry chef Matilda Wang. Summer Strawberry Soft Serve, made with jasmine tea, is floral and refreshing made with fresh strawberries. It’s topped with a caramelized crumble. Dark Tea Soft Serve is made with Danding tea, a type of black tea with a hint of chocolate and served with brown sugar syrup “beauty peach jelly.
