Coszcal de Allende has arrived at its new home at 7506 3rd Ave in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. This family-run restaurant is well known for its authentic flavors with everything made from scratch, including the corn tortillas. The new location features a sleek new bar (liquor license-pending) and ample table seating, along with an outdoor garden when the weather permits.
Starters include several types of ceviche (fish, shrimp, octopus and mixto) along with a crab tostada with guacamole and chipotle mayo. Tacos come in assorted flavors including chicken, steak, chorizo and al pastor. Enchiladas are served with a choice of red, green or mole sauce (which is excellent). Sopas, quesadillas and burritos are also available.
Larger plates being a Spicy Fisherman’s Soup with shrimp, fish, clams, mussels and octopus; Mocajelatzo with grilled chorizo, steak & chicken with enfrijoladas (tortillas topped with black bean sauce and cheese); Paella Mexicana with chorizo and assorted seafood; and Chilaquiles de Mole with tinga, steak, fried, egg avocado and beans.
