Birria Mania Brings Festive Mexican to Brooklyn

Birria Mania in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn is a popular spot for Tijuana-style Birria dishes including tacos, mulitos and quesadillas infused with the red sauce. But you will also find birria in some more inventive places, like consommé in ramen with chopped birria (beef or chicken), cilantro, onions and hard-boiled egg; birria mac ‘n cheese; and birria poutine with mozzarella and pico de gallo.
Other offerings include sizzling fajitas with Mexican rice and beans, enchiladas, Philly cheesesteaks and Sloppy Joes with a side of house-cut fries. Dessert includes tres leches cake, flan and Helado Frito, Mexican fried ice cream topped with rice pudding.
While cocktails are not served, there are several mocktails, including mojitos, mangonada and margarita picante. The festive space features a large Brooklyn mural, colorful tiled tabletops and bright sombreros brimming along the ceiling.
