Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth Reunite On Stage at Redwood

In a magical Broadway moment, Tony Award-winner Idina Menzel was joined on stage by her Wicked co-star and longtime friend Kristin Chenoweth for a surprise encore after Thursday night’s performance of Redwood at the Nederlander Theatre.

The duo, who originated the iconic roles of Elphaba and Glinda in Wicked back in 2003, sang an emotional rendition of “For Good” — to the delight of a stunned audience.
The surprise appearance was part of a special fundraising effort for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. Two generous theatergoers donated $8,000 each — raising $16,000 total — for the opportunity to join the cast on stage and meet them backstage after the show.
