Temperance Wine Bar in the West Village is doing brunch. With more than 100 wines available by the glass, many hand-selected by sommelier Vergel San Miguel, diners will have ample choices to accompany their meal.

On the menu, there’s Pain Perdu, a decadent sandwich of creamy peanut butter and maple black pepper bacon wedged between two slices of Pain d’Avignon Country Loaf, french-toasted and spiced with ginger and cinnamon. It is drizzled with chocolate sauce and a dusting of pink peppercorn. Classic Eggs Benedict is also served, stacked atop an English muffin with poached eggs, Canadian bacon, wilted baby kale and slathered with rich hollandaise. Shakshuka and Toast is a mix of whole plum tomatoes, garlic, jalapeno, and harissa, garnished with a slow poached egg and accompanied by buttery focaccia. There’s also a Lebanese Lamb Burger with garlicky labneh, mint spread, heirloom tomatoes, and cucumbers.

Temperance Wine is located at 38-40 Carmine St, New York, NY
