The crowds are already gathering at Lodi, Chef Ignacio Mattos' exciting new bakery and café at Rockefeller Center. We're told the café, which occupies the former Bouchon Bakery space, is reservation only until August 30th when it will open fully. Mattos is also the force behind Michelin-starred Estela and Altro Paradiso.
This newest venture is described as the kind of place where you can catch a light breakfast of cornetto and cappucino, or maybe a porchetta panino for lunch. Sweet snacks like babà al rum are also being offered. Dinner brings spritzes and dishes like polpettine with pepper and capers. Lodi is also milling its own flour for freshly baked breads throughout day.
Café seating with white linen tables is available on a patio out front with additional seating indoors.
