Casa Limone brings stylish Italian dining to Midtown
June 14, 2021, 6:51.19 pm ET
Casa Limone brings the flavors of Southern Italy to Midtown and a Michelin-Starred Chef. Chef Antonio Salvatore is a partner in the beautifully designed restaurant with the Monte Carlo Hospitality Group. The menu is inspired by Chef Salvatore’s upbringing in Basilicata as well as neighboring regions of Puglia, Calabria, Campania and the island of Sicily.
"I’m humbled to open a new restaurant in the United States during these unprecedented times and this period of recovery,” said Salvatore. “To be able to present versions of the dishes and ingredients I grew up eating, to a world-class city like New York, is a career highlight and we look forward to welcoming everyone to Casa Limone.”
Expressing the notion of La Dolce Vita, or the sweet life, Casa Limone is meant to be enjoyed at any time of day – from a light Italian breakfast, leisurely lunch, and aperitivo hour to a night out on the town. Menu highlights include Carpaccio di Tonno with yellowfin tuna, sundried tomatoes, olives and capers, Burrata Pugliese with tomato and basil, and hand-made pastas like Ravioli Casa Limone with wild mushrooms and sausage, and Spaghetti alle Vongole with manilla clams in a parsley-garlic sauce.
Pizzas inspired by Naples range from a simple Marinara pie to the Siciliani with fresh tomatoes, roasted eggplant, and ricotta salata. There’s also a roast beef pizza with mozzarella, parmesan and fresh arugula. Larger plates include roasted organic chicken cutlet with capers in lemon sauce, wild salmon with saffron risotto, breaded veal chop with caponata, mozzarella, ‘Nduja and tomato sauce, as well as dry-aged filet mignon with beef jus. Cap off the meal with house-made gelato, cannolo Siciliano, tiramisu and Rum Baba with Zacapa rum-soaked cake, vanilla cream and fresh berries.

Classic Italian cocktails (Negroni Americano, Aperol Spritz) are also offered along with drinks inspired by the vitality of New York (Fiore Bianco, Sgroppino al Limone). A large selection of Southern Italian wines are available along with select Northern Italian, French, Argentine and American varieties.
Guests are greeted by a lovingly restored antique lemon-yellow Vespa, 17-seat white marble bar with royal blue velvet bar seats, and an intimate dining area with orange velvet chairs and flowered lattice that allows diners a peek into the kitchen. On the second floor, guests are transported to a pergola with climbing vines and hanging flowers that are accented by a stone wall and window shutters reminiscent of Italian streets.
Casa Limone is located at at 20 East 49th Street, New York, NY
