We recently spotted Charles Pan-Fried Chicken at Bryant Park for this year’s Picnic Performances. We even got to speak to James Beard nominated chef and Harlem Icon Charles Gabriel himself, who says the restaurant is working on even more pop-ups.
Known for his soul food, pan-fried chicken and smothered chicken, you will need to get their early to score some of that delicious fried chicken. We arrived a bit late (after 8pm) and the chicken was already sold out. We found ourselves with some pan-fried catfish, which was delicious in its own right!
Picnic Performances at Bryant Park are held mostly on Fridays from May through September at Bryant Park. For more information click here
