City Winery’s Stunning New El Bar Opens at Pier 57

El Bar, a fabulous new tequila and mezcal bar, has opened at Pier 57 on the West Side. The tiled bar with stone top takes up the entire space with massive windows overlooking Little Island and can accommodate about 15 guests with additional table seating to the side. We recommend a bar seat to soak in the full experience.

The other reason to visit are the cocktails. El Bar offers more that 400 tequilas and mezcals overseen by tequila experts. Cocktails include the Salsita, seen here, a savory margarita made with made with Milagro Silver tequila, salsa verde, passionfruit, chili, lime agave and finished with cilantro salt. It’s divine.

Other options include the Mexican Candy Margarita with 818 blanco tequila, watermelon / chamomile, aloe vera spicy tincture, lime, agave and Tajin; and Leche de Maize, a mix of organic vodka, clarified corn milk, pineapple, lime and cacao shavings. Guests can also enjoy four different types of flights exploring the essence of agave, including one dedicated to “Women in Power.”

The menu is limited to bar snacks. Think assorted nuts, made to order guacamole and homemade salsa with organic corn tortilla chips.

Located in the westernmost part of Pier 57, El Bar is an experience that should not be missed!
