El Toro Taqueria opens in Brooklyn

There can never be enough taquerias in New York City and El Toro on Third Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn is worthy of a visit, especially if you are into oversized tacos topped with onion, cilantro and a healthy dollop of guacamole. They come in assorted flavors like Carne Asada, Carnitas, Chorizo, Al Pastor, among others. There are shrimp and fish versions, along with pig ear.
The menu is quite extensive with chilaquiles, sopes, burritos, tostadas, chalupas, quesadillas and more. Larger plates include chilles rellenos, charcoal grilled pork chops and cecina (salted beef) with onions. Traditional juices like Horchata and Tamarindo are also available. Start with a healthy portion of guac and chips.
