STATE Grill and Bar, at the base of the Empire State Building, is offering lunch and dinner specials for tourist and New Yorkers alike planning a visit to the observation deck. After taking in the iconic views 102 floors up, diners can feast on American classics from Chef Morgan Jarrett’s menu, including several plant-based options.

Chef Jarrett’s hyper-seasonal menus source the local bounty from New York City’s farmers markets whenever possible. New fall dishes include delectable beet root bucatini, red corn polenta fritters with tomato chutney, and berbere chicken with stewed chickpeas, greens and cauliflower. Meat-lovers can indulge in steak tartare with grilled naan or porcini-crusted filet mignon with pommes purée, and desserts include a rich and dark chocolate blackout cake with salted caramel ice cream.

Carefully made specialty cocktails have a vintage, nostalgic vibe, including the Banana Daiquiri which is rumored to be King Kong’s favorite. There is also a popular Happy Hour with discounted cocktails and small bites such as Lamb Lollipop Chops, Buffalo Bites made with chicken or cauliflower, Tater Tots with bacon, cheddar & jalapeño, and more.

Through the end of the year, guests that purchase tickets to visit the Observatory will have the choice of either a two-course lunch for $40 or a three-course dinner for $60 at STATE Grill, tax and tip included. Sunset is a particularly lovely time to visit and admire breathtaking panoramic views high above New York City. The dinner and lunch ticket packages are available at the Empire State Building Observatory and on its website: esbnyc.com.

STATE Grill and Bar is located at 21 West 33rd Street, New York, NY (212) 216-9693
