Molyvos - Hell's Kitchen

Family-run Molyvos, known for its lively Greek cuisine, is moving into the former Esca space on the corner of West 43rd Street and Ninth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen. The Livanos Family says it is "very excited" to have the opportunity to continue the legacy of Molyvos Restaurant in its new Midtown West location. Look for dishes like expertly prepared fried calamari, grilled lamb chops, Ouzo-flamed haloumi saganaki, and other Greek specialties. The Livanos family also operates Oceana near Rockefeller Center. No exact date given for the opening. Stay tuned!

Baretto (Midtown, NYC)

This fall, Brazilian hospitality powerhouse Fasano Group debuts Baretto, a sophisticated, yet festive bar and lounge featuring live music, authentic Italian fare, craft cocktails and an expansive wine list. Baretto will open above Fasano Restaurant in Midtown, the group's first U.S. restaurant, which opened earlier this year. Italian-born and Brazilian-raised restaurateur Gero Fasano looks forward to continuing to expand the beloved family business' footprint in New York, in the elegant space designed by longtime friend and collaborator architect Isay Weinfeld.

103 West 77th Street

This fall, Christophe Bellanca (L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Le Cirque) debuts his first independent restaurant on the Upper West Side. Informed by his classical training and rooted in French techniques, the menu showcases Christophe’s relaxed yet refined culinary approach to everyday fare.

Isle of Us

This fall, entrepreneur and restaurateur Lisle Richards (Village Den) opens Isle of Us on the Upper East Side. A health-minded marketplace and café, Isle of Us offers made-to-order and prepared foods with a focus on locally sourced ingredients, as well as an ever-evolving selection of consciously crafted home goods.


L’Ami Pierre | @lamipierreus

This September, restaurateur Pierre-Antoine Raberin joins forces with longtime friend, culinary advisor and partner Eric Ripert to unveil L’Ami Pierre, a casual French café in the heart of Midtown. The 42-seat eatery offers elevated, convenient options to stay or carryout, including classic French viennoiserie as well as a menu of sandwiches, soups, salads and other refined takes on French breakfast and lunch favorites crafted together by the two friends, Raberin and Ripert. An extensive coffee program complements the menu, along with a curated selection of chocolates, jams and provisions sourced from some of the industry's best makers and artisans. L’Ami Pierre will be open for breakfast, lunch and take away.


Rockefeller Center Fall Openings

Rockefeller Center debuts an exciting new slate of restaurant openings as part of its larger reimagination, joining key recent openings such as Lodi, Pebble Bar and Le Rock. This year’s future openings include:

NARO (Fall 2022): Husband-and-wife team Junghyun “JP” and Ellia Park of World’s 50 Best restaurant Atomix and Atoboy will open NARO with the aim of highlighting the subtle and delicate flavors of Korea's regional and seasonal cuisines.

Jupiter (Fall 2022): a new restaurant celebrating the simple generosity of regional Italian food with a focus on handmade pasta by the partners behind King (Annie Shi, Jess Shadbolt & Clare de Boer).

Five Acres (Fall 2022): chef Greg Baxtrom’s first Manhattan project which offers a creative, vegetable-forward menu that rotates with the seasons. Five Acres features an ethereal design reminiscent of Olmsted’s lush backyard garden, with vibrant greenery and natural materials throughout the dining room. The restaurant will open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

21 Greenpoint (Fall 2022): 21 Greenpoint makes its Manhattan debut. Chef and owner Homer Murray, a New York City native, debuts his second outpost with new menu items available exclusively at Rockefeller Center as well as grab-and-go offerings.

Breads Bakery (Fall 2022): Breads Bakery, renowned for its artisan breads and pastries, brings its newest outpost to Rockefeller Center, taking inspiration from the landmark’s Art Deco style. Breads Bakery’s newest Rockefeller Center location will join stores in Union Square, Lincoln Center and Bryant Park.

Smith & Mills (Late 2022): Industry veterans Matt Abramcyk and Akiva Elstein of popular downtown concepts Tiny’s, Yves, Employees Only will open a second location of their beloved downtown concept, Smith + Mills, serving classic cocktails, an extensive raw bar program and European-inspired shared plates on Rockefeller Center's redesigned Rink Level.
