Caleta in the East Village is part wine bar, gallery and ice cream shop. The ice cream is sold under the label Bad Habit and comes in sexy flavors like Burnt Basque Cheesecake, Miso BlackBerry, Roasted Banana Coffee Caramel, and Coconut & Lime. Polletta Chicken and Sangria
What’s better than rotisserie chicken cooked over a wood fire? Rotisserie Chicken and Sangria which happens to be the name behind this new restaurant. The combo includes a whole bird, avocado salad, roasted potatoes and fried dog & fries. For dessert there is torts fella nonna. 1631 Second Ave, NYC
Cafe Mish Mosh
Cafe Mish Mish at Hotel 50 Bowery lives up to its name with a mix of traditions, experiences and memories. The menu leans Middle Eastern with some surprises like Pork Shawarma Eggrolls, Apricot Fattoush, Pumpkin Kibbeh and mini knafeh cakes with orange blossom syrup. 50 Bowery, NYC
Foul Witch
Foul Witch, by the Roberta’s team, is already working its magic. The wine bar in Alphabet City was bustling when we stopped by the other night for a looksee. The menu is strictly Italian. 15 Avenue A, NYC
This smash burger chain continues to expand with its newest location of the Upper West Side. The menu is pretty simple: cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, Impossible burger and fries. All served with grilled onions, American cheese, pickles and house sauce. 424 Amsterdam Ave, NYC
East Season Restaurant
Located in the heart of Chinatown, East Season Restaurant is serving up traditional Chinese fare. Think roasted meats (Roast Duck, Crispy Roast Pig, Ribs and more) along with Hong Kong style noodle dishes, and specialties like short ribs in black pepper sauce. 244 Canal St, NYC
The Pink Lilly
The Pink Lilly Bar and Lounge has emerged at the OYO hotel in the heart of Times Square. The space has a tropical motif with colorful cocktails to match. The menu features bar bites like Jerk Chicken Wings, Bang Bang Shrimp, Burgers and Hibachi Steak. 157 W 47th St, NYC
Chalong
Sothern Thai cuisine courtesy of Chef Nate Limwong can now be found at Chalong in Hell’s Kitchen. The menu features traditional Thai dishes like Crab Curry, Oxtail Soup, Masamun Brisket and more. Tara Kitchen
Tara Kitchen, a mini Moroccan chain, now has a location in Tribeca. Look for traditional tangines with meat and vegetarian options, including chicken with spicy harissa, figs and toasted almonds, and lamb meatballs in rich tomato sauce and poached eggs. Apps include lamb cigars wrapped in phyllo dough. 253 Church Street, NYC

Baker Lucie Franc de Ferriere is breathing life into the East Village with her beautifully designed cakes decorated with fresh flowers, echoing the French countryside where she grew up. Flavors include chocolate cake with dark salted chocolate buttercream; vegan pumpkin apple cake with chai frosting; and brown butter carrot cake. 263 East 10th St, NYC
Looking Ahead
The signage is up (sort of) for Superiority Burger which is moving into a much larger space at 119 Avenue A. Superiority is a popular spot for vegan burgers, salads, and baked goods like crispy butterscotch banana dumplings. Stay Tuned.
