Food Network Star Guy Fieri is making a comeback in Times Square (136 West 42nd St (betw 6th Ave and Broadway) with his new chicken concept, Chicken Guy!, hatched with restaurateur Robert Earl. The restaurant is known for its all-natural chicken tenders brined in fresh lemon juice, pickle brine and buttermilk, and offered with a wide array of different sauces.

This isn’t Fieri’s first foray into Times Square. Fieri also operated the ill-fated Guy’s American Kitchen and Bar in Times Square after getting fried by New York Times critic Pete Wells in 2012. Wells writing at the time, “Hey, did you try that blue drink, the one that glows like nuclear waste? The watermelon margarita? Any idea why it tastes like some combination of radiator fluid and formaldehyde?” A short time later, the restaurant closed. Fieri did pop up briefly in Times Square during the panedemic with a Flavortown “Ghost” Kitchen. Here's hoping he is more successful this time around!

Also returning next door to Chicken Guy! is a new rendition of Planet Hollywood (136 West 42nd Street). The original a few blocks away didn't survive the pandemic. Planet Hollywood is known for its iconic movie scenes, Hollywood artifacts and memorabilia along with its “Big Bite Burgers,” hand-dipped milkshakes and shareable desserts. Fieri may also have some involvement here.

Stay tuned!
