After an 18-month delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic, restaurateur Thomas Bosco has relaunched the Indian River Café as Inwood Farm, located the edge of Inwood Hill Park (218th Street and Indian Road). Clients will delight in both the location, which looks out over both the park and the Harlem River, and executive chef Peter Dietrick’s seasonal menu.
The full-service restaurant now offers a large variety of coffee and tea and fresh baked goods, such as buttermilk biscuits, croissants and cinnamon buns, starting in the morning. The restaurant then serves up a full menu of delicious offerings for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Dietrick’s menu focuses heavily on farm-to-table dishes; the menu will change seasonally and also features daily and weekly specials inspired mostly by the neighboring Green Market.
Current selections from the menu include an heirloom gazpacho, deviled eggs, a Farmer’s cobb salad, shrimp Beurre Rose, Maryland crab cakes, mac and cheese, cucumber melon couscous and a cauliflower rice bowl. Signature cocktails include the Inwood Mojito, a coconut milk Margarita and the Inwood Gin & Tonic. A selection of beers are also available.
