Ellington on Broadway is serving up American classics on the Upper West Side’s vibrant “restaurant row.” Led by restaurateur Glenda Sansone the restaurant is known for its inviting décor with a welcoming bar, comfy banquette seating and rattan lamp shaded dangling above. A modern mural sets the stage in the main dining room.

The menu leans comfort with starters like blackened shrimp with cream of corn and tasso ham, and grilled octopus with chickpea puree. Assorted flatbreads are offered with toppings such as flat iron steak, prosciutto, and vegetarian.

Larger plates bring Chicken Fettuccine, Braised Short Ribs with sour cream mashed potatoes, Roasted Chicken, Sweet Chili Glazed Salmon and the Ellington Burger topped with brie, crispy onions, fig and onion jam, arugula, and chipotle aioli with a side of fries.

Also new the restaurant is Sansone’s “Sunday Roast” prepared tableside on weekends featuring a selection of choice cuts of meat including locally sourced beef, chicken and pork; with all the trimmings including; stuffing; and seasonal vegetables (think boiled, steamed or roasted broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, cauliflower, parsnips, or peas as well as mashed potatoes); all served with a classic beef stock gravy. It must be booked 5-days in advance and cancellation fees may apply.

Ellington also features a weekly line-up of rotating live music and entertainment by local jazz musicians with performances taking place during dinner service.

Ellington on Broadway is located at 2745 Broadway, New York, NY (212)-281-3011
