Jinkx Monsoon to Star in Little Shop of Horrors

Award-winning actress, vocalist, podcaster and two-time “RuPaul’s Drag Race” winner Jinkx Monsoon will take over the role of Audrey in the long-running Off-Broadway hit “Little Shop of Horrors” at the Westside Theatre on Tuesday, April 2. She replaces current star Evan Rachel Wood.

Monsoon, who starred last year as Mama Morton in the Broadway revival of “Chicago,” will be joined on that date by Broadway veterans Corbin Blue, who will begin his second stint as Seymour, and James Carpinello, who will play Orin Scrivello, DDS.

The show, based on Roger Corman’s cult 1960s classic film, features a book and lyrics by Grammy and Academy Award winner Howard Ashman and music by Tony and Academy Award winner Alan Menken. It is directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer and choreographed by Ellenore Scott.
