Julien Boulangerie has opened its largest New York City location at 1247 Third Avenue.
The bakery, created by French pastry chef Julien Khalaf, is renowned for its wide variety of delicacies ranging from golden baguettes and specialty breads to flaky croissants, as well as anarray of indulgent pastries, quiches and tarts, including the strawberry rose swirl, filled with rose pastry cream and topped with fresh strawberries and a gold leaf, the Parisian coconut flan, filled with a vanilla coconut pastry cream and a peach pistachio tart with fresh summer peaches and Sicilian pistachios).
Julien also offers a full range of grab-and-go items for lunch including salads, fresh baguette sandwiches and homemade quiche. There is also a finely curated, retail selection of the finest French patés, cheeses, charcuterie and tapenades.
In November, the new location will expand to include a bistro, where the menu will be comprised of French salads, soups and hot signature dishes, along with beer and wine.
