Now you can fill up while chowing down on a smash burger. That’s because New York City’s newest burger joint is located inside a West Village gas station on Eighth Avenue near Horatio Street. It’s called Smacking Burger and it’s offering four different types of burgers.
There is the Classic, a single patty, onion, American cheese, Ketchup and mustard on a Martin’s potato bun; The Big Smack with a double patty, onion, American, shedduce, pickles and smacking sauce on a Martin’s sesame bun; The O.K.T.O “Oklahoma 2.0” with a double patty, onions, pickles, American and special horsey sauce on a Martin’s potato bun; and the A.T.W – “All The Way” featuring a double patty, onion American, bacon, shedduce, tomato and smack sauce on a Martin’s sesame bun.
The restaurant is also serving up its World Famous Smacking fries with a single patty, onion, American, pickles, smack sauce and a dab of hot chimi. Additional sides include everything that’s been mentioned along with bacon jam. Drinks and beers are available in the gas station’s refrigerator.
Smacking Burger is open Sunday through Thursday from 11am to 11pm; and from 11am to 2am on Friday and Saturday. There are two picnic tables where you can eat while watching cars gas up. You will find the burger counter inside the Mobil station at 51-63 Eighth Ave in Manhattan. [VIDEO]
