Just steps away from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, Los Tacos No. 1's newest location is already drawing huge crowds. This is the sixth location in New York City. The standing-only taqueria had a steady flow of customers when we visited.
The crew could be seen hard at work preparing tacos and tostadas with Carne Asada (grilled steak), Pollo (grilled chicken) Adobada (marinated pork), and Nopal (grilled cactus). Quesadillas and mulas with the same choice of fillings are also offered. You can also fill up for just about ten bucks which is a steal in this neck of the woods.
Rounding out the simple, yet delicious menu are chips & salsa, chips & guacamole, and housemade drinks called agua fresca and Mexican soda.
The new restaurant is located at 201 West 33rd Street 7th Avenue. For more information, visit lostacos1.com
