Mel’s (85 10th Ave, NYC), the casual pizzeria and restaurant from famed fine dining chef Melissa Rodriguez, is doing lunch.

The new lunch menu, which is available Friday-Sunday, includes restaurant signatures like the wood-fired pizzas, select appetizers, and ice cream sundaes, in addition to new dishes such as chef Melissa’s version of the Chopped Salad with Italian meats, olives, provolone, and a lemon pepper vin; and a menu of sandwiches on housemade focaccia.

Highlights include Capo: King trumpet mushrooms, Jersey Girl burrata, arugula, aged balsamic, and sherry vinegar; Sorelle: Mortadella, soppressata, pepperoni, provolone, and roasted red pepper mayo; Montague: Grilled chicken, salsa verde, broccoli rabe, and rosemary aioli.

These sandwiches are also available for delivery as part of Mel’s new catering menu, which also offers signature salads like the Radicchio (with radish, basil, and garlic vin, with the option to add chicken) and Bibb (with pistachio breadcrumbs and fennel vin), among other options.

Additionally, exclusively on its catering menu, Mel’s is offering a selection of Sicilian-style square pizzas - the Margherita, Soppressata Picanta, and Mushroom Pizza. They are available in small (serving between 6-8 people) and large (serving up to 14-16). For dessert delivery options, pastry chef Georgia Wodder has created the Tricolore Cookie Bar, two 6-inch bars of the classic Italian rainbow cookie.
