Mel's is Closing Shop in Chelsea

Mel’s, the pizzeria by former Del Posto and Daniel Chef Melissa Rodriguez, which opened in the former John Dory space nearly three years ago is closing.
In an Instagram post, Mel's writes:
It’s been an incredible journey since we opened our doors on March 9, 2022. While it’s bittersweet to announce Mel’s will close after service on January 31, 2025, we are deeply thankful for your love and support. Your enthusiasm made every day unforgettable. Thank you for making Mel’s a part of your lives and it’s been a treasure to serve you. We would love to see you this week for one last pie and sundae.
No word yet on a possible replacement. Rodriguez recently opened the stylish Crane Club next door.
