Slightly off the beaten path and deep inside Brooklyn on the Midwood-Sheepshead Bay Border, Memo Shish Kebab is known for its flavorful, fire-grilled kebabs served in pitas, wraps or as platters.

Offerings range from lamb and chicken kebabs to gyros and over-stuffed falafel sandwiches. The lamb kebab sandwiches are filled with juicy morsels of well-seasoned meats served with your choice of sauce and lots of shredded lettuce and tomato.

The falafel balls are crispy around the edges made with a vibrant green mix of fresh herbs and crushed chickpeas. Diners can also choose from traditional dips like hummus and babaganoush along with stuffed grape leaves, cigarette borek (Turkish cheese rolls), and more. The restaurant is also turning out Lahmacun, Turkish flat bread pizzas topped with seasoned meat and spices.

The family-run restaurant got its start in Urfa, Turkey before opening in Brooklyn with just 3 tables. It can now serve up to 95 guests with its affordable, Middle Eastern fare.

Memo Shish Kebab is located at 1821 Kings Highway in Brooklyn with a second location at 100 West 23rd Street in Manhattan. For more information, visit memoshishkebab.com
