Duomo 51, a new Tuscan restaurant, is set to open in Midtown (25 West 51st St) with stunning views of Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral. Located on the seventh floor of the Double Tree Hotel, the restaurant features an expansive dining room and terrace with retractable roof that transforms in a green oasis in warmer weather.

Executive Chef Vilfredo Hodai (Ramerino Italian Prime and La Giostra in Florence) is offering a modern interpretation of Tuscan cuisine with signature handmade pastas and dishes inspired by land and sea.

Highlights include Tartar Di Fileto, beef filet tartar, burrata cheese, and tomato cream; Carbonara, spaghetti pasta, organic egg, pecorino romano, smoked pancetta, and freshly ground black pepper; Polpo Alla Griglia, grilled octopus, chickpea cream, with a slight taste of lemon; Cartoccio Alla Isolana, baked Italian orata fillet, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, potatoes, capers, olives, in white wine sauce; and Bistecea Alla Fiorentina, a 36 oz dry-age T-bone steak for two.

For a sweet finish, Duomo 51 is offering Italian classics like ricotta cheese cake with strawberries, chocolate torta with whipped cream, cannoli dusted with cinnamon and sugar, and Il Nostra Tiramisu with espresso-soaked lady fingers, cocoa, mascarpone.

The wine list also keeps the focus on Tuscany with selections largely from Italy and available by the glass and bottle. Martinis, Manhattans, and Old Fashioneds lead off the cocktails list.
