There is nothing better than a cocktail and a bite. With that in mind, the breezy coastal Italian restaurant Mr Capri is launching its "Pairing Hour" every day from 4:30pm to 6:30pm for anyone visiting the lounge and bar area.
So, what exactly is a Capri-style pairing? All of the house cocktails, wine and beer are being served with complimentary small bites. Pictured here is the Lee Sirene (Gin Martini) and Cantabria anchovie with a butter and breadcrumb rim.
There are nine options in all. They include the Montepulciano & parmigiano reggiano chunks; Refosco & breadsticks, mascarpone e prosciutto; Barolo & truffle potato chips; Pecorino and Shrimp cocktail, Falanghina & pesto potato chips; Prosecco and zucchini & clam oreganata; Birra Italia & Neopolitan tarollo; and a Vodka Martini with gorgonzola stuffed olives. Mr Capri is owned and operated by Capri natives Alessandro "Ale" Passante and his brother Mario Passante. The resturant is located at 33 West 8th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues in the heart of Greenwich Village. For more information, visit mrcapri.com
