NYC Bites - Doughgirl Cupcakes in Bed-Stuy

There's something magical about cupcakes. Whether its all the fluffy icing piled high, or a creamy suprise in the center. Doughgirl Cupcakes, on Marcus Garvey Blvd in Bed-Stuy, hits the mark on both counts. That means those delicious Red Velvet cupcakes with vanilla cream cheese frosting on top also have a dollop of cream in the center.
The Peanut Butter and Jelly Cupcake, which is topped with peanut butter cream and grape jelly on top , gets a with a dab of jelly in the center. You get the picture.
There are more than a dozen different flavors to choose from at any time, including Nutella, Lemon, Strawberry Cream, Oreo and more. Whole cakes can also be purchased in sizes ranging from six to twelve inches. Housemade Banana Pudding, Brownies and Chocolate Chip cookies are also sold. You go Doughgirl!
