It’s official—al fresco season is back, baby. Starting April 1, New Yorkers can once again sip, snack, and schmooze curbside as the city’s outdoor dining program returns for the spring. The New York Department of Transportation announced that more than 2,600 eateries have already been approved to set up tables on sidewalks and roadways, giving the green light for open-air eats citywide.

Restaurants can begin building their roadway setups as early as March 25, just in time to catch the first spring sun and rosé-fueled brunch crowds.

Want to see where you can score your next sidewalk spritz or streetside sushi? The city has launched a new interactive Dining Out NYC map showing all the approved restaurants, so you can find the perfect patio near you without breaking a sweat.

And for restaurants that aren’t ready to buy their own outdoor setups, no worries—affordable rentals are now available starting at just over $1,000 a month (or about $33 a day). Translation: more dining, less storage stress.

From cobblestone café vibes in Tribeca to taco trucks turned dinner destinations in Bushwick, Dining Out NYC is picking up right where it left off—with more flavor, fewer barriers, and the same New York grit.

Get your shades, grab a seat, and pass the menu. It’s patio season, folks.
