Dishoom, the popular UK restaurant group inspired by the Irani cafés of the past and the food of Bombay, is coming to the United States for the first time on August 19th, popping up at Pastis for a two-week breakfast series ending August 30th (Monday to Friday only).

Though worlds apart, both Dishoom and Pastis were born of a shared desire to bring people of all backgrounds together, in the rich tradition of café culture in Bombay and Paris. At the heart of this collaboration, the goal is simply to gather and talk, eat and celebrate.

New Yorkers and visitors alike will now have a chance to enjoy Dishoom’s much sought-after Bombay breakfast-y comfort food: the Bacon Naan Roll, Parsi Omelette, Big Bombay (akuri, char-striped smoked streaky bacon, peppery pork sausages from Myers of Keswick, masala beans, grilled field mushrooms, grilled tomato and buttered, home-made buns) and Kejriwal (two fried eggs on chili cheese toast), along with Mango Lassi, House Chai, and Dishoom’s excellent “Tipples”/cocktails from The Permit Room.

The pop-up will take place at Pastis (52 Gansevoort Street) from Monday to Friday, August 19 to 30th (no weekends), from 8am to 11am.
