Phillipa Soo and Chasten Buttigieg to Appear at Books of Wonder

An in-person conversation between Phillipa Soo and Chasten Buttigieg will take place at 6pm om Monday, May 13 at Books of Wonder (42 West 17th Street). A livestream of the event is also available.
The two bestselling authors will discuss their books, shared love of theater, the time that they once dreamt up a Shania Twain jukebox musical together, and more.
Buttigieg, the husband of U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, will be discussing “I Have Something to Tell You – For Young Adults,” his young adult adaptation of his refreshingly candid bestselling about growing up gay in his small Midwestern town.
Soo, best known for her Broadway performances in “Hamilton” and “Camelot,” will discuss “Piper Chen Sings,” is an empowering story, inspired by her own childhood experiences, about a girl who turns her performance jitters into confidence when faced with singing a solo at her school concert.
