You have to give the Glizzy’s team some cred. After opening and closing in Williamsburg, a short stint on St Marks Place and later opening inside a pot shop, the gourmet hot dog stand will soon have a permanent home at Pier 57. In an Instagram post, Glizzy’s writes:
“The day is finally here! We’re officially going to be open at Pier 57, our new home, on June 15th! We appreciate your continued support throughout our journey, and to show our gratitude, if you RSVP, you’ll get a free plain Glizzy on us.”
Glizzy’s in known for its over-the-top dogs like the OG Lucy’s with cucumber, cilantro, basil, mayo, pickled carrots with hoisin and sriracha; Chinatown with cucumber, chili crisps, cilantro, fried shallots, scallions and mapo sauce; Yammy with chili, bacon, tomatoes and cucumbers; and Houston We Have A Problem with smoked brisket chili, chopped onions, fried onions, and cheddar cheese sauce.
We wish them luck!
