Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Heads to New York City

The 80-foot-tall, 43-foot-in-diameter, approximately 12-ton Norway Spruce that will be the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree for the 2023-2024 season. The tree has been cut down and hoisted by a huge crane onto a 115-foot-long trailer in Vestal, New York.
The 2023 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree was donated by the McGinley family. There were even some of Santa's elves on hand for the big event.
The tree will be brought into Manhattan by flatbed truck and put into place by a crane at Rockefeller Center on Saturday, November 11.
The arrival of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree officially ushers in the holiday season in New York City. The tree is presented to New York and the world by Tishman Speyer, the owners of Rockefeller Center.
After being wrapped with more than 50,000 multi-colored, energy efficient LED lights and crowned with Swarovski star, the tree will be lit during the live broadcast “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
