Spring is arriving in Central Park, and with it comes the return of one of New York City’s most iconic warm-weather experiences. Beginning Wednesday, April 16, the Central Park Boathouse will launch its seasonal rowboat rentals and open-air Dockside dining, both available through October.

The announcement comes on the heels of the Boathouse's major renovation and reopening last spring, restoring the landmark restaurant and café that has drawn locals and tourists alike since 1954.

Adding to the excitement, Executive Chef Adam Fiscus will debut a new spring menu this Wednesday, April 2, which also marks the return of dinner service through October. The refreshed menu will be available both inside the restaurant and at Dockside.

Highlights from the new menu include starters like Strawberry Fields Salad with spinach, candied walnuts, and sugar snap peas in citrus vinaigrette; and Yellowfin Tuna Tartare with capers, serrano peppers, and Meyer lemon aioli. Entrées feature Faroe Island Salmon over lemon risotto with asparagus; Chilean Seabass in lemon beurre blanc; and Lamb Osso Bucco with roasted heirloom carrots and fingerling potatoes.

Classic desserts such as Crème Brûlée, New York Cheesecake with berry compote, and seasonal gelato round out the offerings. Weekend brunch favorites will also return, including Maple French Toast with whipped cream and seasonal fruit, and a Traditional Eggs Benedict.

Beverage Director Jamie Boss, formerly of Aldo Sohm Wine Bar, has crafted a seasonal cocktail menu with highlights like the signature Boathouse Martini and a Lavender French 75.

Lunch and dinner reservations are available on OpenTable, with lunch served Monday–Saturday from 11am–4pm and dinner until 9pm. Sunday brunch is available from 11am–3pm.
