Simone Falco channeled his roots and hometown of Napoli when he create SIMÒ in the Meatpacking District. Now he has expanded to Midtown with a pizza shop on West 52nd Street. There are no tables, just a few counter where workers and residents around Rockefeller Center can chow down on some authentic pies.

Fresh ingredients and an approachable price make these pies stand out. The pies are paper thin yet hold up well to the ingredients with crunchy crust. They range from the Margherita topped with San marzano tomatoes, mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil and fresh basil to the Prosciutto e Funghi with mushrooms and prosciutto de Rovagnati. Other pies include the Cacio e Pepe, Diavola with salame piccante, and the Salsiccia e Capolla with sweet Italian sausage and red onions seen here.

An assortment of salads, like the Caprese with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes, are offered along with housemade Calzones. SIMÒ is located at 1290 Avenue of the Americas (enter on 52nd Street). For more information, visit simopizza.com or call (646) 398-8666
