Tony Fontura is putting a new spin on the classic steakhouse with T-Bar on East 60th Street. Glitzy chandeliers, murals and crushed velvet seating light up the space located inside a townhouse with cozy spots for a romantic meal, as well as spaces to accommodate larger groups.
The menu begins with dishes for the table – think thin crust pizzas, rice balls, crispy oysters , Segundo’s meatballs and more. There are pastas including Cavatelli Antonucci with a veal ragut, Black Ink Linguine with lobster, and Spaghetti & Meatballs. Larger plates feature chicken Milanese, Crusted Tuna with wasabi, Crispy Long Island Duck and Herb-Grilled Branzino with roasted fennel, among others.
From the steak bar comes Center Cut Filet Mignon, Prime-Aged New York Strip, Dry-Aged Angus Ribeye and a 40oz Black Angus Porter House serving 2-3 people. Diners are given a choice of bernaise, au poivre or steak sauce for T Bar’s choice cuts.
T bar is located at 116 East 60th St, New York, NY (212) 772-0404
