The group behind Little Owl, Market Table and The Clam is welcoming a new concept, The Mary Lane, to the West Village. The corner location features a bright and airy dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows. Designed with architect Alta Indelman, the space showcases intimate details such as bar tiles and copper light fixtures throughout the restaurant. Murals by artist Steven Fragale and Sara Jane Roszak provide pops of color and interactive visual stimulation against the whitewashed walls.
Chefs Andrew Sutin (L) and Mike Price (R)
The kitchen is helmed by Chef Mike Price and acting Chef de Cuisine Andrew Sutin offering an approachable, polished menu with dishes made from seasonal ingredients. Several of the plates draw inspiration from the Mediterranean, Japan, and the West Coast.
Butternut Squash
Look for dishes like Butternut Squash with pine nut butter, kohlrabi, pickled mustard seed, and mizuna; King Trumpet Mushroom Tartare served with capers, Dijon truffle aioli, and crispy sunchokes; Sauteed Nova Scotia Halibut with roasted market grapes, leeks, bon shimeji, and verjus; and a Rosemary Brined Hampshire Pork Loin with caraflex sauerkraut, marble potatoes, and pear mostarda.
Hudson Valley Steelhead Trout
The Mary Lane, which gets its name from an heirloom fig, is showcasing a Fig Tart for dessert complete with whipped goat cheese and lemon thyme ice cream. The beverage program is also rooted in storytelling. Crafted by Beverage Director Lisa Komara, look for fun and imaginative cocktails like Overnight Trip to Tokyo showcasing gin, lime, and cherry blossom, and A Vieux From The Top with bourbon, cognac, and chartreuse.
Flash Seared Spanish Mackerel
The Mary Lane is currently open for dinner and will soon be open for breakfast, lunch, and brunch with an afternoon happy hour to effortlessly glide guests from day to night.
The Mary Lane is located at 99 Bank Street, New York, NY
