Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) has reintroduced The View, the legendary rotating restaurant, bar, and lounge atop the New York Marriott Marquis in the heart of the Theater District. Nestled on the 47th and 48th floors, The View now offers an entirely reimagined experience, blending elevated cuisine and striking design under the leadership of Executive Chef Marjorie Meek-Bradley and Beverage Director Ricky Dolinsky.

Originally opened in 1985, The View was celebrated for its revolving dining room and panoramic vistas. Now, after nearly five years of dormancy, it returns as a dynamic dining destination, honoring its roots while embracing a fresh, modern vision.
“The View’s mission is simple: to capture the lively energy of Broadway's Theater District while showcasing a familiar American menu whose dishes are even better than you ever knew they could be,” says USHG Founder Danny Meyer.

The menu, inspired by classic American supper clubs and steakhouses, begins with appetizers like Tuna Carpaccio with finger lime and wild arugula, and Jumbo Lump Blue Crab Cake with spicy remoulade. Entrees include Black Bass en Papillote with Swiss chard and saffron, and Seared Duck Breast with glazed turnips and dates. A special section highlights Steaks & Chops, featuring premium cuts such as Snake River Farms Picanha and American Lamb Chops, complemented by sides like Potatoes au Gratin and a selection of house-made sauces.

No meal is complete without dessert, and Executive Pastry Chef Emily Fu delivers showstoppers like The View Chocolate Cake, a towering devil's food cake with rich chocolate caramel ganache, a Classic New York Cheesecake, and the Jubilee Sundae with stracciatella ice cream topped and brownie bites.Photo: David Medsker
The beverage program, curated by Beverage Director Ricky Dolinsky, features creative cocktails and nostalgic tributes. Highlights include the Katz’s Martini made with Bombay Sapphire and Katz’s pastrami spice blend, and the Whipped and Swirled, a playful cocktail inspired by Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding. A wide selection of wines and spirits rounds out the offerings.

Designed by Rockwell Group, the space has been completely transformed. Drawing from the Theater District’s vibrant energy, the interiors feature deep blue velvet drapery, shimmering Venetian plaster, and metallic finishes that capture the dynamism of Times Square. Both floors revolve to offer guests uninterrupted 360-degree views of the city, with the bar and lounge completing a rotation every 45 minutes and the dining room every hour.

Guests can enjoy live piano music nightly across the two distinct spaces: the 47th-floor Dining Room offers an elegant setting for dinner, while the 48th-floor Bar & Lounge provides a more relaxed atmosphere with cocktails, raw bar offerings, and snacks.
Located at 1535 Broadway, The View is open daily. The Bar & Lounge welcomes walk-ins from 4 PM to 12 AM, and the Dining Room is open from 5 PM to 10 PM, with reservations available through SevenRooms. For more details, visit theviewnewyorkcity.com or follow @theviewny on Instagram.
With its elevated cuisine, stunning interiors, and unparalleled views, The View is once again a must-visit destination for an unforgettable night out in New York City.
