aRoqa to Offer Special Juneteenth Cocktails

Former NBA player Alan Henderson and his wife Maxine Henderson, creator of BOLLYGOOD, the first Indian-inspired sparkling beverages to hit the US market, have collaborated with Monica Saxena, founder of the Indian restaurant aRoqa (206 Ninth Avenue) to concoct two specialty cocktails to celebrate Juneteenth. Both cocktails will be available for $15 at aRoqa from Friday, June 17th through Friday, June 24th
The two specialty drinks are the Citrus Sensation, made with Tom Bullock’s Burnt Orange Bourbon, fresh grapefruit juice, simple syrup, mint sprigs, and Lemon Ginger Mint flavored Bollygood, and the Desi Spritz, made with Birdie Brown Plain Hooch, carrot juice, lime juice, honey syrup, basil leaves, and Lime Basil Cumin flavored Bollygood.
In addition, aRoqa has also created a new list of summer cocktails for your drinking pleasure. They include he Violet Butterfly Margarita, made with Volcán Tequila, pea blossom syrup, amber vanilla, agave, and lemon juice; the Gold Thyme Rush made with Woodinville Straight Bourbon, pineapple juice, lemon juice, thyme simple syrup, angostura bitters; and the Hibiscus Garden, made with Belvedere Organics Lemon and Basil, hibiscus syrup, Elderflower liquor, lemon juice, and club soda.
