Description:

The Old American Can Factory, aka Factory 232, is home to more than 300 artists and artisans.  The building, located across from the Gowanus Canal and Whole Foods, dates back to the mid-1800s.  It was developed by XO Projects and currently serves as a performance and exhibition space.  In the Summer months, the building's roof is used for outdoor movies by the folks at Rooftop Films.
